UKWISPA Good Causes
UKWISPA is a community of members who share common interests in developing high quality, reliable and high performance fixed wireless networks. Our members range from very small to large multinational corporations.
In between growing successful businesses, we also invite our members to spare a thought for individuals or groups that have suffered tragedy, loss or harm through no fault of their own.
Summer Hockey for Sophie
On 23rd May 2026 there will be a hockey tournament at the University of Edinburgh's Peffermill pitches, to raise funds for Little Hearts Matter:
In memory of Sophie Emily Mitchell
Sarah and Andrew Mitchell lost their first daughter, Sophie, in 2015 to a rare congenital heart condition. Little Hearts Matter is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting those impacted by this condition, a single ventricle heart - or half a heart.
UKWISPA will be a shirt sponsor at the hockey tournament in return for hitting the £1k fundraising target on this page, and in support of Andrew Mitchell; formerly Scottish Government R100/SBVS and currently Building Digital UK Local Delivery Lead for Scotland for Project Gigabit.
